The Sparkfun SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module – mosaic-X5 is a compact, high-precision, multi-band RTK receiver designed for seamless modular integration. It features the Septentrio mosaic-X5, a sophisticated GNSS receiver known for its ultra-low power consumption and multi-constellation support, including GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, and NavIC. This module is engineered to deliver exceptional accuracy, achieving a horizontal precision of 6mm and a vertical precision of 1cm through Real Time Kinematics (RTK) capabilities, with a timing precision of 5 nanoseconds.

The module incorporates Septentrio’s AIM+ technology, which provides advanced interference mitigation and anti-spoofing features, ensuring reliable and scalable position accuracy. It is equipped with an internal web server, accessible via USB or Ethernet, allowing for easy configuration and control through any web browser. Additionally, a command-line interface is available for users who prefer or require a more traditional method of interaction, particularly useful in production line testing or remote access scenarios.

The SparkPNT GNSS Flex Module is designed with flexibility in mind, featuring plug-in boards that can be easily swapped for repairs or upgrades. It connects to carrier boards through two 2×10-pin, 2mm pitch female headers, breaking out USB, multiple UART interfaces, and SD card interfaces, along with PPS or event signals. This standardized pinout ensures compatibility and ease of integration with various systems.

Note: This product requires additional components such as a GNSS Flex pHAT, an external antenna, and a Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computer for full functionality.
